Educational Background

  • Bachelor of Applied Science in Nanotechnology Engineering at the University of Waterloo

Research Interests

Topics: My interests include the large-scale fabrication of mono-/few-layered 2D materials and their applications in optoelectronics.

Why 2D materials: Throughout my undergraduate degree, I have had a few co-op terms where I worked with 2D materials in optoelectronics and in transport. I was amazed by the device performance of such thin materials, and found it impressive how these materials could be easily obtained through mechanically exfoliating crystals with a piece of scotch tape. I also attended a Nanotechnology seminar during my second year of my undergraduate degree where I heard about graphene being applied to multiple fields, which sparked my curiosity and interest in the field!
