Last week, our international research training group 2D-MATURE had the pleasure of organizing the symposium “Scalable 2D Materials—Synthesis, Processing, Metrology and Device Implementation” at the MRS Fall Meeting in Boston.

Over 14 sessions featuring 70+ oral presentations and 2 poster sessions with 80+ posters, the symposium showcased exciting advances across the 2D materials community. Our own team contributed 31 presentations — an inspiring testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved.

It was wonderful to see many familiar faces, including Stephan Hofmann, Claudia Backes, and Andrew Pollard.
