Last week was not only about onboarding our second cohort; we also learnt a lot from the progress reports of our first cohort of PhD students in terms of their annual status meeting and much more has happened in Waterloo: Christian Punckt from Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) joined us to discuss graphene standardisation, Stephen Soucie from University of Waterloo continued our EDI training, we had the chance to attend Jürgen Janek’s talk for Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology on interface design in solid batteries, we enjoyed listening to PechaKucha talks once again and experienced Canadian snow.
We are extremely proud of what this group has already achieved and of the great team we have assembled. Keep up the good work, 2D-MATURE!
